A beautiful array of colors come out of this mix of inner and outer birch bark basket. 1/2 in weavers are diagonally double oven with open slots on the narrow sides for handles. This basket design was inspired by a student named, Doreen. The rim and lashing are made of stripped and split root of a Black Spruce tree, which is also wrapped around each handle.

All bark and root were hand harvested and processed.

Basket was conditioned with a bees wax & walnut oil during time of weaving.
